What it shows

๐Ÿ•๏ธWhere you can camp

Crown land (free, 14-day limit) vs private, park, First Nation and municipal land, plus Recreation Sites and Trails BC campsites.

๐Ÿ“ถWhere you'll have signal

Cell sites for Telus/Bell and Rogers, a terrain model of where they reach, coverage maps and real speed tests from other campers.

โญScouting list

Remote spots that still have signal good enough to work from, ranked, with road access, parking and nearby logging noted.

๐Ÿช“Active logging

Cut blocks being harvested or planned, so you can skip spots with log trucks and fresh clearcuts.

๐Ÿ›ปRoad surface

Paved, gravel, rough and unpaved tracks, trails, parking lots and trailheads.

โ›ฐ๏ธTerrain

Contour lines, hillshade, elevation at any spot, and a satellite preview to scout a pull-off before you drive.

๐Ÿ“ดWorks offline

Save a region to your phone and the map, layers and terrain work with no signal at all.

๐Ÿ”ŽSearch & GPX

Search lakes, peaks and communities offline, jump to coordinates, and load your own GPX tracks and waypoints.

๐Ÿ”ฅFire bans

A one-tap link to current BC Wildfire campfire restrictions from every spot.

How it works

  1. Pick your region when the map opens: Vancouver Island, Lower Mainland and Sea-to-Sky, Thompson-Okanagan, Kootenays, Cariboo-Chilcotin, or the north.
  2. Tap anywhere to see who owns the land, whether you can camp, the nearest cell site and how likely you are to have signal there.
  3. Open the scouting list under Layers for the best remote-but-connected spots near you.
  4. Save the region for offline on wifi before you leave, then head out.
  5. Test your signal when you get there: your speed test helps the next camper.

Install it like an app: on iPhone, open in Safari and tap Share โ†’ Add to Home Screen. On Android, open in Chrome and tap โ‹ฎ โ†’ Install app.
